LVMH, the Film 2008

To discover the superb 2008 video corporate group LVMH, very beautiful staging around 64 brands of the group with meeting point for luxury. Créée en collaboration avec l’agence Ogilvy & Mather et la société de production H5 sur la musique “Clubbed to Death” de Rob Dougan, ce court métrage de 5 minutes retrace les évènements et produits phares du groupe durant l’année 2008. Created in collaboration with the agency Ogilvy & Mather and production company H5 on music “Clubbed to Death” by Rob Dougan, this short 5-minute film traces the events and products of the group during 2008. Mixing Cinema & Advertising - Intimissimi Lingerie Featuring Monica Bellucci

Last November, sex symbol Monica Bellucci acted in HeartTango, a short movie produced by Intimissimi, an Italian lingerie brand.

The movie develops around a pas de deux on a sensual tango, featuring Monica, who impersonates several female characters, and José Fidalgo, a 28 year old Portuguese model and actor.

HeartTango, directed by one of the major Italian young movie directors, Gabriele Muccino (The Last Kiss, The Pursuit of Happiness), was released at the beginning of December in cinemas across Italy and on Intimissimi’s website.

In the scenes of the movie, shot in Lisbon, Bellucci wears many underwear pieces from the Intimissimi collection, and the sensual black silk petticoat featured in the main tango sequence is a limited edition “selected by Monica” available in stores at the launch of the movie.

A shorter trailer of HeartTango, that you can watch in the attached video, has been broadcast on all national television channels.

Screensavers and wallpapers of the movie are also available for download on the main site too.

Good mix of product placement, sponsorship and new media in a high quality outcome.

There are many hearts in which a woman’s heart can beat. This movie is dedicated to each one of them. (intimissimi)

Dubai Opera House by Zaha Hadid

A dune shaped new opera house (with a seating capacity of 2500) and cultural center coming up in island off Dubai Creek, the designs for the same has been developed by Zaha Hadid Architects. All of the facilities are available within a single striking structure. Images of mountains or sand dunes are evoked from the gentle winding form. From the ground the form arises as both are a part of the landscape but with a distinct element in the skyline.

 

The design calls for an exciting new cultural centre in the new Seven Pearls district of Dubai. This landmark development will accommodate an opera house, playhouse, arts gallery, performing arts school and themed hotel on an island in Dubai Creek just off the mainland part of the district. All of these facilities will be state of the art to host world class performances and exhibitions. The opera house will have a seating capacity of 2,500 while the playhouse will have a seating capacity of 800.

The arts gallery with 5000m2 of exhibition space is indeed a full size exhibition facility comparable to the Guggenheim Museum in New York. The hotel will accommodate guests in a 6 star setting. Sited on an island in Dubai Creek, the development will be connected to Greater Dubai by a road connection to the mainland.

The proposal houses all of the facilities within a single striking structure. The gentle winding form evokes images of mountains or sand dunes. Rising out of the ground, this form is both a part of the landscape yet very much a distinct element in the skyline. The surrounding landscape forms build up to the main building. These constitute open park spaces as well as ancillary functions such as the parking facilities and the monorail station, which are either tucked under or integrated into the andscape forms.

The two peaks correspond to the opera house and the playhouse. The tall requirements of the fly towers are nested under these peaks. From these peaks, the form gradually swoops down to touch the earth. The form is scalloped away where the three major entrances are to be found. The main entrances for audiences visiting either of the two performing arts auditoria are on the north side of the building. At the ground level will be the VIP entrance with car drop off right at the entrance and a separate foyer from the main foyer. This foyer serves both the opera house and the playhouse. The main foyer is a gentle multi-tiered landscape at one floor above the ground floor. It also serves the opera house and the playhouse as well as having an interior connection to the arts gallery.

Floating above this foyer are further foyer spaces serving the balcony levels. The foyer levels from the main foyer level up are visually connected to each other through a series of voids. This allows for direct views between the main foyer at the first floor all the way up to the highest balcony foyer. Surprising views are abundant in this space.

The auditoria are contained in flowing shapes that seem to emerge from the underside of the main shell. This inner shell however, does not quite touch the main shell. Instead, the two surfaces disappear into a light gap between them. Supporting functions found off the foyer are defined by walls that merge into the underside of the main shell.

Exclusive Private Residential Estate, Abu Dhabi

There’s a new planet in the solar system and it’s called Luxury. Actually, it is here on earth, on a little-known island called Nurai, located northeast of Abu Dhabi city.

The 130,000-square-meter island is about to be transformed into an achingly glamorous and luxurious resort and exclusive private residential estate, comprised of one boutique luxury hotel resort with 60 suites, 31 beachfront estates and 36 water villas.

 

The mammoth project is a collaboration between New York based Studio Dror, led by Dror Benshetrit, that has designed the residences, and the Paris-based firm AW2 are responsible for the design of the hotel.

The sheer scale of the project is awe-inspiring. The incredible multi-storey water villas alone will span 515 square meters each, and comprise three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a private rooftop garden with spa pool, private infinity pool, multiple decks, outdoor barbeque area, gourmet kitchen and concealed service quarters. No doubt, Tom & Katie are making their reservations already.

 As for the private Seaside residences (which are sure to be snapped up by Saudi Princes and oil sheiks because they will probably be the only ones who can afford them), the five-bedroom, six bathroom estates span between 3,000 and 6,050 square meters.
 
Each Seaside estate will include a private beach and garden, rooftop garden with spa pool, infinity swimming pool, indoor reflecting pools, concealed service quarters, entertainment patios, outdoor dining areas, chef and show kitchens, and outdoor showers.

The resort is due to open in 2010 and the prices for the residences start at €20 million. By Lisa Evans

2008 Aznom Chateau Mini

The MINI Chateau, based on the MINI Clubman S, made its world debut at the recent Top Marques show in Monaco. It will be limited to just 12 units and radiates exclusivity and luxury with its wood trims and a miniature, shock-absorbent wine cellar (room for 6 bottles and chalices) in the trunk.

The MINI Chateau is painted in changeable pearly brown, matched with sandy/gold metallic paint for the roof, bumpers and some details. But what really stands out, is the use of precious wood, both on the inside and outside of the car. Inside Aznom fitted the upholstery with gaucho leather and Alcantara to create a warm, vintage atmosphere.

The car rides on 18-inch TSW ‘Pace’ alloy wheels wrapped in 205/40 Yokohama S-Drive rubber. The Mini Chateau’s 12 limited-edition exclusive samples will each display a numbered label with the name of the lucky owner. By Tuija Seipell.

WONDERBRA:UMBRELLA

Wonder how the umbrella stays up? It doesn’t take much imagination to figure out! This Wonderbra advertisements touts the magnificence of the cleavage-enhancing underwear the company is known for. Clever!

Might one call this an umbreastlla?
Sure, it’s not raining in the photo, but that’s not the point. This is like those girls that can carry a beer between her boobs; she’s the envy of a lot of other women!

I wonder how the men would feel about the umbrella bra. On the one hand, she must have a smashing décolletage. On the other hand, she’s got an extra hand free to carry more shopping… which means more damage to the bank account!

The campaign was created by Julien Hablainville and published in December 2007.
